Instructions for Use:

Before treatment, the doctor must inform the patient in advance about the product’s indications, expected treatment effects and their duration, contraindications, precautions, warnings, and possible adverse events.

The doctor must also discuss all potential risks of soft tissue fillers with the patient before treatment and ensure that the patient understands the symptoms and signs of potential complications. The doctor must assess whether the patient is suitable for treatment and whether analgesia is necessary. To improve patient comfort during treatment, the use of topical or local anesthesia is recommended. Injection techniques and dosages may vary. Linear injection technique can be carefully applied to correct wrinkles, but some doctors prefer to use continuous point-by-point injection technique or a combination of both methods.

Use a fine needle (27G ) to inject HYDROIAM into the dermis. During injection, it is recommended to position the needle bevel facing upward. The depth of the needle should be such that the needle shape is visible from outside the skin but the color of the needle is not visible. Injection too superficially may cause whitening and swelling at the injection site. If the skin surface turns white (pallor), immediately stop the injection and massage the area until the skin color returns to normal. Pallor may indicate vascular occlusion. If the skin color does not return to normal, stop the injection.

There is a risk of infection during the injection process. Strict adherence to aseptic technique and standard operating procedures is required to prevent cross-contamination. Thoroughly disinfect the treatment area using appropriate antiseptics.

To avoid needle damage, do not attempt to bend or otherwise manipulate the injection needle before or during treatment.

Before injection, carefully expel air from the syringe until a small drop of gel appears at the needle tip.

It is recommended to aspirate before injection to ensure the needle is not inside a blood vessel.

Slowly withdraw the needle while injecting HYDROIAM. Injection should stop before the needle is completely withdrawn from the skin to prevent leakage of HYDROIAM from the injection site or injecting the product too superficially.

Do not apply excessive pressure to the syringe at any time. Scar tissue may obstruct needle penetration. If resistance is encountered, partially withdraw the needle and reposition it, or withdraw the needle completely and check functionality.

It is recommended to use a new needle for each new treatment site.

If the patient’s skin is very loose, it is recommended to inject HYDROIAM in two or more sessions.

After injection, massage the injection site to help the gel contour smoothly with the surrounding tissue.

Immediately after injection, apply an ice pack to the injection area for 15 minutes to help reduce swelling and discomfort. If these symptoms persist, the cold compress can be repeated for an additional 5 to 15 minutes. Prolonged exposure to temperatures of 4°C or below may cause frostbite on the skin surface, so cold compress duration should not be too long.

Patients who are unsatisfied with the treatment effect may require additional booster injections to achieve the desired results.
